Job description
We are currently hiring an Accounts Payable bookkeeper to support the CFO and AP manager in all aspects of Accounts Payable.
Responsibilities include vendor transactions, reviewing and verifying invoice information from vendors, making payments to vendors or contractors, and complex inter-company reimbursements. The position is the point of contact for all vendor related issues.
Responsibilities:
Manages the accounts payable cycle from vendor setup all the way through payment, including but not limited to:
- Processing invoices and enter into accounting system
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Reconciling vendor statements; research and correct discrepancies
- Responding to vendor inquiries
- Processing check runs and electronic payments
- Reviewing aging reports on a regular basis; research and resolve balance
- Maintains vendor and contract files.
- Implements standard key metrics and performance measures through payment cycles.
- Generates and implements standardized processes and looks for improvements.
- Leads the AP month-end close, responsible for expense capture
- Leads year end close processes related to AP, including 1099 processing
- There will also be typical office work such as answering phones etc.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Associate degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years of Accounting/Finance experience required.
Computerized Accounting Experience, Excel and PC expertise, and reporting skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,304.00 - $65,000.00 per year
