This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the SEC Reporting functions of the organization

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Manages the policies and processes for accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and other information to support external and internal reporting requirements
- Periodically conducts disclosure benchmarking and other analysis to stay abreast of financial reporting trends and techniques.
- Monitors current developments and actions of standard-setting bodies in areas of financial reporting principles and practices.
- Trains team members on SEC Reporting processes.
- Works closely with functions across Vistra to ensure accurate information is included in SEC filings.
- Works with the external auditors on resolving financial reporting issues.
- Supports the Controller's organization in achieving high individual and team performance standards.
- Mentors the development of future leaders in the accounting and finance areas.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience in a large
- complex public company, energy industry knowledge and experience preferable.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Deep knowledge of financial processes including cash flow.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting processes.
- High ethics and trustworthiness and drive for success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
