Job purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist is primarily responsible for processing payments, controlling expenses by verifying and reconciling invoices; collecting payments for the Company using skills in project management, organization and communications to collect payments from clients and customers; track payments, making banking depositions and run reports documenting profits and losses for an organization. Additionally, this position financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Analyzing workflow processes
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit, generally responding to all vendor inquiries
- Preparing analyses of accounts and producing reports
- Continuing to improve the payment process
- Manages incoming payments, properly tracking them into the system to maintain accurate bookkeeping records
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
- Communicate with clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
- Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system
- Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
- Update client accounts based on payment or contact information
What we’re looking for
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 1+ ARAP or Finance Degree ( Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable )
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar
- 2+ years related experience
- Strong MS Office/Excel is preferred ( Formulas, Lookups, etc. )
- Analytical, with the ability to solve problems and make decisions
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in General Accounting
- Experience in Analysis of costs and budgets
- Experience in SAP
