The Accounts Payable Specialist compiles amounts owed by the company to vendors or other individuals, and inputs figures to the accounting system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives and reviews invoices, verifying that they comply with organizational policies and are approved for payment.
• Reconciles amounts owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records.
• Enters invoice amounts into the accounting system and processes check runs, wire transfers, or other forms of payment.
• Responds to inquiries from vendors and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.

Qualification Requirements:

Education / Licensing:

• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working-knowledge of subject matter.
• Typically requires a high school diploma and 0 to 2 years of experience.

Technical Skills:

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Mathematical skills.
• Clerical skills.
• Accounting skills.

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual performance raise if all guidelines are met. Your salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equality and consider the internal equality of our current team members as a final part of any offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is full base salary range for the role. Hiring at maximum of the range would not be typical to allow future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
