Job description
We are currently seeking Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk candidates who are self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Bonita Springs, Florida area. As part of their duties, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. - Test documents and codes
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
- Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable preferred
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proficient in ERP systems
- TOPS experience preferred
- Demonstrates understanding of AppFolio highly preferred
- General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting polic
