Job description
Functions:
Under the direction of the School Director and After School Coordinator, the Assistant is responsible for helping out with homework, activities, games, crafts, and snacks for students in the program.
Work Hours and Compensation:
The position of After School assistant is a seasonal position and is paid every two weeks at an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour. The position is classified as a nonâexempt hourly employee status and will be around 15 hours per week. The hours worked on a daily basis are 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.; a work schedule will be issued.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have previous experience working with elementary school aged children.
Possess basic knowledge and understanding of school aged children.
Possess the ability to follow written and oral directions.
Possess or attain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
