Position Summary
Manage day-to-day rentals and assist the GM in association/owner operations. Act as a liaison between Aston and owners/renters. Direction as to the specific allocation of tasks is determined the by GM.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in management. 3 years of experience in hospitality.
Position Responsibilities
- Efficient and professional operation of the property in coordination with the GM. Assume full responsibility in the absence of the GM.
- Act as a liaison between the owners/renters and the management company and between the owners/renters and any Association Board of Directors. Supervise the overall rental program. Oversee the Rooms Division functions to include Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Office, Owners Services and Reservations.
- Provide guidance and direction in the administration of the rental program, housekeeping, and laundry function. Ensure that association/owner records are maintained in accordance with policies and directives. May publish periodic newsletters.
- Participate in forecasting efforts to ensure maximum occupancy and average rates and drive operational efficiencies to ensure profitability.
- Monitor actual expenditures and prepare financial data needed for monthly financial statements. Perform other accounting functions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist the GM in developing, coordinating, and administering the implementation of all major contracts with the contractor, association and other third parties as needed. Take prompt action to reduce time when emergency repairs are required.
- Responsible for the accuracy of all employee personnel and payroll records. Responsible for ensuring that all personnel policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.. Monitor safety practices in each department as well as number and type of accidents occurring on the property.
- Ensure proper maintenance of property management system (on-site) and inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Interview, select and train employees.
- Set and adjust their rates of pay and hours of work.
- Direct the work of employees.
- Appraise employee productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.
- Handle employee complaints.
- Discipline Employees.
- Plan the work.
- Determine the techniques to be used.
- Apportion the work among the employees.
- Determine the type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment or tools to be used or merchandise to be bought, stocked and sold.
- Control the flow and distribution of materials or merchandise and supplies.
- Provide for the safety and security of the employees or the property
- Plan and control the budget
- Monitor or implement legal compliance measures
- Customarily and regularly direct the work of at least 2 or more full-time employees or their equivalent (1 full-time employee at 40 and 2 half-time employees at 20 hours each, are equivalent to 2 full-time employees).
- Authority to hire or fire other employees or make suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other employees.
