Our seasonal busy waterfront seafood restaurant located in Bay Shore, NY is seeking an experienced assistant restaurant manager to join our management team. The successful candidate will work alongside the general manager and be responsible for the implementation of our restaurant’s policies and procedures and will participate in achieving our revenue objectives. The assistant manager will ensure that staff remain compliant with all local, state and federal laws, and that customers’ needs are promptly met.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Organize and supervise staff
• Coordinate daily restaurant management operations
• Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly adhered to
• Maintain safe working conditions
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding the handling of cash, property, etc.
• Full knowledge of all menus/cocktails
• Respond efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer concerns
• Take direction from General Manager

Requirements:

• 2 + years restaurant management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant with a full bar
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, nights and weekends
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional organization and leadership skills
• Dependable and reliable
• Experience using POS systems (NCR Aloha) preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
