Associate Software Developer

Summary

Explore an opportunity with a successful grocery supermarket chain specializing in Asian groceries. We're looking for a motivated individual to join our IT team for network/firewall management, migration, and implementation. There is a lot of potential to grow into a more technical role in our IT department and gain valuable skills in the production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with the development team to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and performance.
• Contribute to the development of new features, improvements, and bug fixes for existing software products.
• Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve software development processes.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in software development, including internships or academic projects.
• Strong programming skills in one or more modern programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Familiarity with one or more front-end or back-end frameworks, such as Spring, Django, React, Flutter, or Node.js. Github portfolios to demonstrate.
• Experience with containerization such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, version control, CD/CI tools and testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:

The pay range for this job starts at $65,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
