Classic Car / Auto Body Technician

Southfield Classics is looking for an experienced Classic Car / Auto Body Technician that is energetic, can work on a great team but also be independent. We have a very busy facility that is in the Flowery Branch.

Southfield Classics is an up-and-coming Electric Vehicle Manufacturer. We are looking for someone that is willing to step into this role and not only sell our vehicles but grow our company. Southfield Classics bring an old school feel to the hot rod world and give it a twist.

Summary: Responsible for identifying and performing necessary body repair work.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

(No weekends or overtime asked unless voluntary or are on a deadline time crunch)

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities include the following:

· Examines body damage.

· Identifies necessary body repair work.

· Requests necessary parts.

· Performs body repairs.

· Documents repairs performed.

· Performs body repairs efficiently.

· Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.

· Participates in required training.

· Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.

· Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

· Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.

· Complies with Company policies and procedures.

· Observes Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules & regulations in the performance or duties.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Demonstratable knowledge of body repair methods.

· Collision repair training or commensurate experience.

· Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform repair functions.

· Valid Driver’s License ASE /or I-CAR certification is a plus.

· Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.

· Ability to communicate effectively with Company personnel.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and talk; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Work Environment: Duties are performed primarily in the Collision Center. Work includes movement of vehicle body parts. Working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to noise, vibrations, exhaust fumes, paint-dust, and other collision center conditions. Frequently interacts with company personnel and management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Auto body repair: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • ASE /or I-CAR certification (Preferred)
