REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER/SHIFT LEAD

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

Epic Burger is a “mindful” concept located in the greater Chicago land area. Epic Burger offers its customers a better experience from the food that is served to the décor of the restaurant. Epic Burger features a simplistic menu of fresh all-natural beef Epic Burgers, tasty turkey burger, an all-natural chicken breast sandwich, and the Beyond Burger all cooked fresh to order and served with a variety of fresh toppings including all natural cheeses, organic eggs or nitrate free bacon.

The menu also features shakes, malts and smoothies made with all all-natural ice cream and fat free frozen yogurt with the choice of organic whole, skim or soy milk.

Position Overview:

The Hourly Team Member behaves according to Epic Burger’s Policies, Procedures and Values.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ability to discuss Epic Burger history with others.
• Prepare quality finished products (burgers, fries, milkshakes, etc.) efficiently per Epic Burger recipe manual standards.
• Restock food line and cooler.
• Prepare food as required, including storing food.
• Work multiple stations as directed by Manager.
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety of store.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards, including wearing clean uniform.
• Comply with established food safety requirements and practices.
• Comply with store security and safety standards.
• Be speedy and accurate in fulfilling orders.
• Operate cash register: handle, balance and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Handle raw and finished waste according to established procedures.
• Make customers really happy.
• Engage in friendly conversation with customers in line.
• Act with a sense of urgency toward all customers in the store.
• Take catering and delivery orders over the phone.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be friendly and customer service-oriented.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Must possess neat and clean hygiene.
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment confidently.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work as a team-player.
• Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 4 hours or as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors (95%) and outdoors (5%).
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music, customer and employee traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.40 per hour
