Hybrid: East Hanover, NJ
Brand Manager, Candy (Sour Patch Kids, Swedish Fish) will be responsible for developing and executing the Sour Patch Kids brand’s strategies across equity, portfolio, quality, communication, and activation plans. Ensures category P&L delivery by ensuring efficient execution of the launch plan, programming tactics, managing the brand budget, and making informed prioritization and resource allocation decisions. This will require working across creative agencies, managing the cross functional community, and seamless sales linkage to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of integrated communication, activation, and media plans, maximizing Media ROI, working with internal and external media partners
Work with internal and external partners (sales and Nielsen) to identify brand and category trends to inform brand health and business strategy
Partner with Consumer Insights to deliver key communications/media testing, measurement, and on-going optimization
Brief and support national shopper marketing programs, including strategic briefing and creative oversight
Drive P&L / category financial performance management by managing delivery of Candy A&C budget in line with target, and owning/managing down waste
Deliver PPA & growth commercialization projects from ideation through launch
Cooperate with sales planning, customer teams and shopper marketing to ensure growth across channels and manage execution/commercialization of customer/channel-specific PPA
Manage Candy A&C budget in line with the target
Partner with cross-functional team including but not limited to finance, integrated supply chain, research & development, quality, etc. to ensure flawless execution of the plans
Travel will be required on an as-needed basis; for example sales meetings/conferences, agency meetings, brand events, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 3+ years' work experience or equivalent; brand marketing experience required; CPG specific experience highly preferred
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to thrive in and handle ambiguity & fast paced environment
Analytic and creative thinking skills
Strong business acumen and marketing capabilities
Strong leadership / communication / collaboration skills
Demonstrated track record of sales/marketing/commercialization execution
Business Travel as needed.
