Caregiver/Special Needs Support Professional - CNA, HHA, RBT, Private Duty

Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is immediately hiring multiple full time Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions supporting individuals with autism in their daily lives, in a community based setting. We are looking for positive, caring and compassionate people to support adults and children in upper Montgomery County, in a residential setting. If you have experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), and/or a Private Duty professional, you may be a good fit, to fill multiple Direct Support Professional positions.

CSS will provide specific training for each support staff on how to include a person with autism in community and recreational activities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Full Driver's License, preferred
• Eligible to work in US

Responsibilities:

• Implement the services outlined in the service funding plan, the individual plan, the person centered plan, the treatment plan or other individualized plan of support services designed for an individual
• Support participants to access community resources, maintain family relationships and develop friendships.
• Assist in the design of a daily activity schedule for each individual.
• Maintain written notes on activities implemented with each individual and inform the supervisor on activities and significant events on a regular basis.
• Report incidents of injury, significant behavioral issues, or unusual events immediately to a supervisor.
• Complete monthly and quarterly progress reviews as appropriate.
• Provide or arrange transportation to activities for each individual as needed
• Assist individuals as needed with independent living skills including personal hygiene activities and household management skills consistent with the person’s routine and the individual's IEP
