Position Overview
The Correspondence Associate handles all incoming correspondence as well as a variety of general and specific administrative duties, including mail service tasks, filing, printing, scanning, and end-user requests. This position regularly interfaces with team members, managers, and other employees to gather and exchange information.
Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Sort, deliver and prepare/process correspondence received via mail.
- Review and act on indexed correspondence exceptions (all ingress methods).
- Provide clerical support including printing, filing and scanning documents.
- Routine tasks such as data entry.
- Provide backup assistance to Revenue Cycle and/or Cash Applications team members as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
- Must be proactive and multitask while working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines and prioritize when necessary.
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information and unexpected circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively connect with others; approachable & viewed as a responsive resource for employees and leaders.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 25% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.
- Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
- Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.
- Ability to work designated schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of professional clerical work experience.
- Medical billing experience.
- Experience working in Epic Cash Management.
