Examples of Duties:

• Secures intake information by phone from Friends In Need (FIN) that are requesting financial support. Interacts with the FIN to identify the FIN's housing, utility, food, medical and/or other financial needs.
• Completes the FIN's profile for the client software database and directs the information to the appropriate conference for assistance.
• Prescreens the FIN's needs and provides them with available resources and contact information.
• Assists with special projects as requested.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

General knowledge of office products. Knowledge of client based software. Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Knowledge of telephone protocol. Strong knowledge of customer service practices. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interact diplomatically with a variety of individuals on all levels. Ability to diffuse sensitive issues and complaints. Aptitude for detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidential information.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.

Experience: Three years office experience, including working with software databases and responding to customer service inquiries and complaints or equivalent education and experience.

Desirable: Ability to speak fluent Spanish.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
