A global automotive manufacturer is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team near Chattanooga, Tennessee. This growing company has been established for over 50 years with 10,000+ employees operating in 20 countries. This Engineer is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the controls for automated manufacturing process.

The salary is commensurate with experience up to $110K plus great health and retirement benefits. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

responsibilities:

• Ensure effectiveness and efficiencies for processes and equipment in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment
• Troubleshoot industrial control hardware, software, and networking issues
• Responsible for code that meets product requirements written efficiently, documented clearly, bug-free
• Use Lean manufacturing techniques such as troubleshooting, applying Quality Tools such as FMEA, SPC, Cpk analysis
• PLC and HMI Programming
• Setting up and maintaining common industrial networks such as (Ethernet IP, Profinet or Profibus)
• Commission machinery and providing remote onsite support
