Customer Service Representative

The candidate must be in the Portland, Oregon vicinity, this position will be fulltime in the Portland office and will be working Monday – Friday.
Reporting directly to the International Sales and Sales Support Manager, the right candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
- Process all sales orders through email, and telephone which includes order details such as: price confirmation, availability.
- Process incoming and outgoing EDI documents, which includes orders and order changes, order acknowledgments, and inventory acknowledgements.
- Review all customer pricing and ensure system accuracy.
- Ensure all discounts are applied to orders as applicable – based on promotions, order size, special pricing, etc.
- Handle all sales order enquiries such as: pricing, tracking, inventory availability, freight costs, etc.
- Handling customer inquiries.
- Work closely with sales representatives to handle inquires and offer assistance as requested.
- Process all returns, which includes return to stock and defective product.
Qualifications:
- Excellent computer skills: Order processing with computer and database systems.
- Attention to detail: very detailed oriented and has a history of not making errors.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of order entry in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Great sense of humor.
- Positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- People person having the ability to work with a myriad of personalities.
- Friendly telephone manner.
- Creative problem solving.
- Quick on your feet and a logical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work well in a team.
