Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Only on W2)
Work Location: Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI ( Hybrid model)
The Opportunity:
The candidate will be part of a highly skilled, talented group of Cloud Production Engineers (PE) who provide expertise in implementing and evolving the production operations strategy for Cloud services used by client's customers, employees and partners. The team collaborates with Production Operations, application developers, cloud engineers, and monitoring/observability engineers to enable agility through best-in-class automation and infrastructure as code. The candidate will also design and implement custom monitoring solutions, self-healing automation and other technology solutions that enhances the service level availability and resiliency of applications hosted on Cloud.
The candidate should have experience with technical solutioning and implementations for cloud as well as the capability to deliver those solutions.
The Work Itself:
- Be a critical team member in Cloud Production Engineering team accountable for the design and development of automation for AWS services operations, monitoring and observability
- Establish patterns and evolve design standards for AWS infrastructure and operations teams
- Design and implement technology solutions requested by business units
- Ensure appropriate controls and testing are in place
- Develop technical documentation
- Practice and advocate agile/lean principles while providing subject matter expertise in automation, infrastructure as code, AWS services and systems operations, monitoring and observability
- Provides support for the execution and maintenance of Disaster Recovery and blue green environment in AWS
The Skills You Bring:
- Strong experience with Terraform, AWS, Git and Python
- 4+ years industry experience supporting and troubleshooting in AWS production environments
- 4+ years working with enterprise-scale platforms and architectures
- Strong technical documentation capabilities and focus on detail
- Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Linux/Unix, disaster recovery, and failover processes is desired
- Hands on experience with monitoring tools like Cloudwatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus or similar monitoring tools is a plus
- Preferred Certifications: AWS, Git, Python, Terraform, or Cloud Formation, or comparable experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant related experience

- 8 hour shift
