Wilco Electrical, LLC is a well-established and expanding utility contractor throughout Florida, working largely on Florida Power and Light projects and distribution systems. We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic in our Royal Palm Beach office. Job duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and performing repair on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. A good candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical systems and be capable of repairing diesel, hydraulic, and heavy-duty machines. Someone who can independently manage their time and prioritize tasks would do best in this position. This is full-time, Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM. Pay is hourly with overtime, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

· Perform preventive maintenance services on vehicles, trailers, and equipment including diesel, hydraulic, and heavy-duty machines

· Perform inspections, diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment

· Running to service calls for emergency breakdowns in Palm Beach County area primarily, less often up to Treasure Coast

· Work with equipment operators to determine operational issues and repair

· Check and service vehicles and equipment with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluid

· Work independently and with limited supervision to complete assignments

Qualifications:

· 2 years equivalent experience as a mechanic or trade school graduate(required)

· CDL preferred, must have at least a valid driver’s license

· Altec equipment expierence preferred

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height and above

· Knowledge of shop equipment and tools

· Strong attention to detail
