03/24/2023 Master’s degree in school leadership required - specialist or doctorate preferred.
At least three years experience in school leadership (principal/superintendent/district level leadership).
Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, guidelines and procedures, regarding 6-12 education including career and technical education.
Skilled and knowledgeable in leading standards-based curriculum development, alignment and implementation through the use of data.
Knowledge of current educational principles, practices and procedures in program development, staff training, instruction and assessing program needs in secondary education.
Knowledge and experience of budgetary management.
Skill in communicating effectively with others including making oral and written presentations.

Has a proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources and systems to provide high-quality professional learning and leadership development on teaching and learning.

The Director of Secondary Education leads the district’s 6-12 programs and services to support the district’s goal of every student graduating from high school as college AND career ready. The Director develops a comprehensive curriculum, instruction and professional learning of school based pathways and programs to increase access and equitable opportunities to meet the needs of our students; business and community and work experiences that bring school leaders, community partners, and the district together to insure our students are future ready.
