Brosnan Risk Consultants, Ltd. is seeking an organized and experienced trainer to join our organization. The trainer will create content, work closely with employees across the organization, and train employees on compliance-related matters, standard operating procedures, and role-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up to date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop programs and curricula for the organization’s employees for orientation and in-job training.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer workshops so others can facilitate the necessary training for our employees.
    • Present information effectively following prescribed training manuals
    • Respond to learners’ questions
    • Lead hands-on activities that reinforce learning
    • Direct learners to supplementary resources and reference materials
    • Lead group discussions
    • Listen effectively
    • Make accurate observations
    • Help learners link the training methods to their jobs
  • Analyze the effectiveness of training and workshops for the employees and develop appropriate modifications if needed.
  • Collaborate with the company’s management to identify training needs and schedule appropriate training sessions for employees
  • Provide support and mentoring for new employees while conducting an evaluation and identifying sections where improvements are needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or a related field
  • Certification from talent and training associations a plus
  • Five (5) years of previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position
  • Training in Manned Guarding Industry experience is a plus
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Organized and able to create multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Virtual training facilitation and train-the-trainer experience
  • Experience with Absorb (Learning Management System) a plus!
  • Ability to work well in a geographically dispersed team
  • Travel required: up to 50%.
