Summary
The Dispensary Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary by overseeing and directing all day-to-day operations, including overseeing an Assistant Dispensary Manager, Inventory Technician, and all Dispensary Agents. The Dispensary Manager will possess outstanding customer service skills, a problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and management abilities, and solid administrative/clerical and time management skills. The Dispensary Manager is also responsible for upholding the mission and values of the company and ensuring that his/her team always delivers Member Service Excellence.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Delivers a superior level of customer service, both in person and on the phone; coaches Dispensary Associates on the commitment to Member Service Excellence
- Responsible for managing efficient operations within a fast-paced environment through effective team scheduling, delegation, and coaching
- Consistently models professionalism; serves as a role model to dispensary staff during periods of high stress and ambiguity
- Observing and participating in patient services on sales floor, including dispensary associate productivity and patient engagement
- Always maintains highest level of compliance and ensures all proper legal and Company policies and procedures are strictly followed
- Treats all customers, patients, collogues and vendors fairly and with respect, offering assistance as needed
- Evaluates dispensary processes to ensure maximum efficiency
- Becomes a subject matter expert; assists members and coaches Dispensary Associates to both advise and educate members on the safe dosage and other aspects of the medicine
- Diffuses difficult situations and ensures issues are resolved to the member’s satisfaction while upholding company standards
- Manage and implement training on POS system
- Enforce security and inventory management protocols to nullify risk of diversion
- Approaches difficult conversations with employees and uses diplomacy in human resources issues; requests guidance from Human Resources when handling delicate employee relations situations
- Oversees inventory and cash management, daily and weekly, including regular bank deposits; responsible for training Dispensary associates on proper cash handling and inventory management
- Partners with the Inventory Technician to manage intake of all deliveries including verifying accuracy of delivery, inspecting packages, submitting manifest to inventory tracking system, etc.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment inside and outside the facility; has a high attention to detail and regularly reviews facility needs and communicates them to the appropriate parties
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in cannabis management position required
- 2+ year degree in management or business preferred
Computers and Technology
- METRC experience required
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Basic knowledge with inventory systems and office equipment
Schedule
Must have weekend and weeknight availability
