Fluidra is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our North American Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to lead projects, design electro-mechanical systems, coordinate activities, and plan qualification tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project leadership as well as test and qualification development with a focus on completing projects on time, within budget, and with the required quality and regulatory standards. As an Electro-mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for managing project schedules, costs, and coordinating cross functional teams to ensure a successful project launch. Additionally, you will:
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of mechanical systems and components
  • Manage project schedules and costs to ensure projects are on budget and on time
  • Design mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks
  • Develop and implement test plans and qualification procedures for the product and components
  • Analyze test data and effectively communicate status to the project team during the development cycle
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support to production and field teams as needed.
  • Evaluate competitor products and keep up with industry trends
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors
  • Occasional travel domestically and internationally
WHAT WE SEEK
  • 5+ years of product development experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adopt the user mindset while making design decisions
  • Knowledge and experience working with electronics products
  • Ability to lead meetings and communicate in small and larger group settings
  • Experience with plastics and metals design preferred
  • Experience designing products to meet regulatory and industry standards preferred

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Expected salary range is $95,000 - $125,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
