Job Title: Estimator

Job Description

The Estimator draws from extensive technical knowledge to bid various size railroad projects to support company business growth and profitability goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience in civil construction estimating, railroad construction estimating or project engineering.
• Experience with HCSS software or an equivalent estimating software.
• Ability to perform accurate, quality takeoffs, perform labor and material takeoffs, complete estimate from receipt of bid package through final bid review and organize and detail the estimate.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project and Word programs
• Strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Work in conjunction with office staff and company ownership to prepare accurate and timely proposals.
• Have a “whatever it takes” attitude and team-oriented outlook.
