Salem Contracting Ltd is a robust and growing industrial construction company based out of Prince George, BC. With projects across western Canada including Castlegar BC, Fort St. James BC, & Peace River AB.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Fabricator/Welder, you would be expected to:

• Fabricate metal assemblies & weldments
• All types of welding, fabricating, but mostly attachments and guarding packages
• Be familiar with structural fabrication forming and other fabrication processes
• Be able to use technical drawings and various other specs and verbal instructions for planning and accomplishing the goal
• Be able to inspect your work and meet deadlines
• Uphold all applicable company OHS policies
• Cut and join metal parts for fabrication or repair vehicle equipment, tools and other articles

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess the Following:

• Possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude, precision and attention to detail

• Must be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism
• Possess a consistent work ethic and be safety oriented
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
• Have own tools

Salary: From $42.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• British Columbia: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• welding: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Journeyman (preferred)
