We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Seattle, WA in our Maintenance department for a Facility Maintenance Worker position. This is an ideal role for someone who is dependable, willing to learn and willing to work in a manufacturing environment on our facility maintenance projects. Must be willing to undergo a background check.


Purpose:

Provides repair, maintenance and clean-up for all areas ensuring a functional and safe work place.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepares a systematic approach to cleaning, repair, and maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and related facilities both interior and exterior.
  • Performs minor carpentry, concrete, painting, electrical and plumbing work.
  • Performs minor roof repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Performs drywall installation, patching and repair.
  • Assemble office furniture and secure wall mounted office accessories.
  • Assists in the daily maintenance of equipment as needed.
  • Assists with janitorial work as needed.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift and overhead crane.
  • Ensures the adherence to safety and health standards.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance, carpentry, painting, sheet rock, plumbing, and painting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work schedule as assigned.
