Summary:

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join as a Food Production Sanitation Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within our food production facility. While prior experience is preferred, we are open to considering candidates without prior experience who are motivated and willing to learn. If you are diligent, able to perform heavy lifting, and have a strong commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), we encourage you to apply for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, production areas, and common spaces according to established sanitation procedures.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment for thorough cleaning.
• Use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in a safe and effective manner.
• Properly handle and dispose of waste materials and hazardous substances.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as power washers, floor scrubbers, and industrial vacuum cleaners.
• Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks, such as moving equipment and supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and report any sanitation or maintenance issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to sanitation and safety.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in food production sanitation is preferred but not required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work in various shifts and weekends, if needed
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
