There are different kinds of transcription jobs; general, market research transcription, medical transcription and legal transcription. The audio files are varied and can include focus groups for market research, interviews, meetings, phone calls, zoom calls etc. Our primary requirement is that our transcribers must have a minimum of three years’ experience, and a minimum typing speed of 70 wpm.

Transcription Canada pays from $.90 -$ 1.20 per audio minute depending on the complexity of the audio. We require a minimum typing speed so that the rate per hour ranges from $25-35. Specialized areas of transcription, such as medical transcription or legal transcription require more extensive training and consequently, they often earn more money.

We are currently hiring general transcriptionists, as follow:

• Possess experience, preferably with another company doing focus groups and interviews
• Strong editing experience
• Typing speed of minimum 70 WPM
• Must reside in Canada
