What you will need
- Previous cooking experience in a restuarant/fast food setting, breakfast experience is highly desirable.
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.
- Follow café guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety, maintenance and equipment/space cleaning, requirements at all times.
- Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.
- Be organized and have a high sense of urgency
What you will do
The Grill Cook is responsible for receiving and processing/preparing food orders for staff, visitors and catering customers. This is a morning shift and Breakfast experience is a requirement. Grill Cooks also will perform short order cooking, using established culinary techniques in the preparation of standard menu items. Work also includes maintaining par stocks, ordering supplies, rotating products for maximum quality and minimizing waste during the flow of food preparation. standards and related regulatory guidelines. Our Cooks are accountable for the quality of the food prepared. The whole kitchen does a round robin when washing dishes, this is a team effort so you must be willing and comfortable in the dish pit.
