Job summary:
The Home Care Customer Service Resupply Specialist for Baxter Respiratory Health is responsible for phone, email, and website interactions with patients, caregivers and various teams to fulfill resupply request. The HCCS Resupply Specialist handles discernment of input required to accurately send new supplies for all accessories within our Home Respiratory Health portfolio. This includes insurance and reimbursement needs, as well as prescription and internal system information. In addition to reacting to calls and written requests, we require calling for patients and health care teams for resupply and prescription renewals. Preparing for customer interactions and guiding them through our process seamlessly is first priority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned:
- Responsible for collaborating with customers/patients, health care teams, insurance representatives, account executives, or other internal departments, such as clinical, financial, reimbursement, operations, and other service representatives related to completion of resupply requests for respiratory equipment
- Quickly and accurately identify and assess individual customer needs, figuring out appropriate action.
- Deliver front-line phone, email, system dashboard support on resupply products, explaining to customers what is needed to complete request in an easy-to-understand manner, at times summarizing their insurance coverage / limitations to them
- Learn ongoing system support for Respiratory Health insurance and payer changes. Share these internally with proper department for ease of processing future orders automatically
- Properly identify resupply types for correct billing, collaborating with the internal billing, reimbursement, and collection teams for government and commercial payers
- Use multiple systems, investigation techniques, and problem-solving skills to attempt to first-time resolution on each request with speed and accuracy
- Employ diligent processes, understanding and adhering to prescription and insurance requirements
- Process new requests, route, track, and maintain proper information within multiple Hillrom system applications
- Responsible for proactively calling on a month to month basis regarding resupply needs
- Responsible for timely and accurately processing complaints received from patients/caregivers, as needed
Education, experience, qualifications and skills:
- Associate degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 – 5 years of progressive experience in an insurance or customer service role
- Spanish-speaking skills, preferred
- Previous experience in the healthcare or medical technology supplier, preferred
- TIMS, JD Edwards or other third-party billing system experience desired
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications, Word is a must.
- Well-organized and high level of attention to detail
Physical requirements:
- Candidate must be able to sit/stand in front of computer and be on phone for extended periods of time
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $36,000 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
