Job description

Local Construction company now has an immediate opening for a heavy equipment operator.

We are looking to add a member to our team with the following experience:

Ability to effectively operate equipment in a safe manner at all times, in an effort to eliminate damage and injury when excavating in the vicinity of underground utilities (communication, power, natural gas, water, etc.)

Ability to read grade stakes and blueprints without assistance.

Ability to stage material safely and productively, to include bedding, pipe and fittings.

Excavating to grade

Installing underground utilities/Digging in trench-boxes

Over Excavating/Re-Compacting

Back-filling

Use of power tools (demolition saw, compaction equipment, generators, air compressors, laser level, etc.) as needed

Ability to effectively communicate with and direct labor personnel on the job site

Experience with TopCon GPS a plus

Class B CDL is preferred but not required.

Current Drivers License and reliable transportation to work every morning, (Transportation is provided to the job site each day from Eugene).

Wages and compensation will be based on experience and ability during trial period. We operate with the principle of paying based on performance, skill set and the value you bring to the team.

Must pass pre-employment and random drug screens and criminal background check.
