In-Home Special Ed 1st Grade Teacher - Richmond
Job description
I have an immediate need for an in-home special ed 1st grade teacher in Richmond. The family is asking for a tutor who has special education experience working specifically with students who have a speech delay.
The student is a 1st grader attending Katy ABA School. He needs to work with a tutor for reading and math.
The student has a speech delay and gets extra help at school but he would also like the additional support of a tutor. He is performing below grade level. For reading, he is recognizing some sounds and letters. He will need to work on blending sounds and words and writing his letters out. In addition, they can begin to work on comprehension and fluency. For math, he needs to work on the fundamental basics. The tutor will be asked to focus on improving his reading skills.
The overall goal is for the student to be performing closer to grade level and to begin to read.
The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week. They are available Monday through Friday 4pm-7pm as well as Saturday and Sunday from 9am-7pm.
