Role Overview
What we are looking for:
The Molding Technician provides operational, mechanical, process, and maintenance support
to the Alpharetta Injection Molding operation. This position operates the equipment and maintains the work processes necessary to achieve the unit's safety, quality, reliability, cost, and production goals.
- Executes Injection Molding processes in support of the R&D product/process development groups.
- Operates injection molding machines and all auxiliary process equipment as required.
- Develops and maintains molding processes and makes adjustments as needed.
- Provides clear and accurate process documentation.
- Coordinates timely shipment of products and follows up to ensure delivery.
- Ensures all molding equipment is cleaned and maintained per SOPs.
- Maintains a safe work environment for self and others.
- Participates in all safety audits and attends required safety meetings & training.
- Takes direction from and works closely with front line supervisor.
- Proactively communicates with their Supervisor to ensure optimal work environment.
- Performs other customary tasks and duties as required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
You will bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate/Diploma in related field preferred
- 2+ years related experience in plastics processing or post-secondary Degee/Certificate in related field
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of injection molding equipment a plus.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Functional knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to regularly lift and move product weighing 55 lbs
- Ability to drive a fork truck
You will get:
Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $28.00 to $30.00 per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
