North Carolina Medical Board is currently seeking an experienced
Investigative Coordinator to join our team in our
Raleigh, NC 27513 location.
What You’ll Do:
- Assists Investigators with compiling, monitoring and processing investigative reports
- Receives and prepares medical records and creates assignment tasks for OMD reviews
- Reviews FSMB Disciplinary Alert reports and obtains additional information as needed. If Disciplinary Alert needs reporting to the Board, authors Out of State Report of Investigation for Legal, SSRC, and Board review/action.
- Manages the annual Physician Assistant Audit Program (PAAP), assigning audits to staff, finalizing reports and preparing audit summary for Board meeting
- Receives and reviews requests from out of state boards/agencies for actions taken on licensees by the NCMB, then prepares the appropriate information for review by the Legal Department
- Primary liaison with the Board’s forensic toxicology lab, documents drug screen results in case management system and advises the appropriate investigator
- Assists Field Investigations Operations Manager with preparation of board meeting materials
- Attends a grouping of Investigative Interviews during Board meetings and documents Board Members’ recommendations
- Prepares final Disciplinary Committee Report for work notes
- Reports Disciplinary Committee Board Actions to the case management system
- Assigns cases to the Legal Department after Disciplinary Committee Board Actions
- Composes Disciplinary Committee Board Action template letters for OMD review
- Prepares and sends AAI and Complainant letters from Senior Staff Action and Complainant letters from Disciplinary Committee Board Actions
- Provides back-up support to the Investigative Process Coordinator for USISS daily NC Criminal Offense Notifications and Investigation case openings
- Performs all other duties deemed necessary by the Field Investigations Operations Manager or the Chief Investigative Officer
Our Ideal Candidate:
Education and Experience
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software, including MS Teams
- Possesses adept writing skills
- Possesses organizational and planning skills to achieve the desired result
- Possesses interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with personnel at all levels
- Possesses analytical skills, arranged information quickly and orderly, and prioritizes workload
- Uses initiative to independently seek solutions
- Reviews work carefully for completeness and accuracy and is attentive to detail
- Works well as a team member to accomplish team goals and objectives
- Maintains and secures confidential information
