VetsEZ is seeking a Junior Integration Developer to be a part of a remote team. The Integration Engineer will work on integration of Appian product with VA source systems (systems of record) through RESTful/SOAP APIs, web services, microservices, data transfer, files processing etc.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Working together with the project Lead to manage integration architecture and specifications through the service development lifecycle.
• Leading the design and development efforts for all the system and data integration of the VA source systems with the Appian Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM).
• Expertise in connecting to external systems using methods such as REST, SOAP, JDBC, SMTP, CMIS, and JMS. Allows exposing data to other systems with a Web API.
• Expert at documenting Integration Control Documents and interface specifications.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation including architecture diagrams, interface diagrams and design best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or Management Information Systems (MIS).
• At least 2+ years of experience in IT with responsibilities in one or more of the areas - Technical Architecture, Application Development, Business process management and/or Enterprise Application Integration (SOA) with Appian or other BPM tools is required.
• Experience integrating Appian low code solutions with external web services, APIs, microservice end points.
• Experience integrating with legacy systems which have data in file formats, data from database tables, file transfer of input and output files.
• Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
• Experience in implementing integrations on Cloud (AWS GovCloud) and with source control (e.g GitHub).
• Experience in DevSecOps and/or Configuration Management.
• 2+ years of experience with development of Web services, Integrations and Middleware.
• 2+ years of experience in the design and implementation of SOAP and REST Web Services and Application programming interfaces (APIs).
• 2+ years of experience in Java, J2EE, Ajax, JavaScript, JS, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST, WebLogic, JBoss, SQL, etc.
• 2+ years of working knowledge of Application Servers like JBoss, Weblogic, IIS, Tomcat etc. as part of the installation.
• 2+ years of experience developing Appian Plugin.
• 2+ years of strong experience with Appian delivery using an Agile methodology.
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Computing/IaaS (e.g., AWS).
• 2+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services like Lambda functions, Step Functions, AWS Secrets Manager, S3, Cloud Watch, EC2/ECS.
• 2+ years of experience in Authentication, Identity and Access Management (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, OAuth, LDAP).

Additional Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting.
• Active Appian Senior or Lead Certification.
• Experience with Java and AWS Services.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile Framework.
