Job Description
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant, who will report to the Regional Finance Controller, as part of our North America Finance team based out of our office in Bridgewater (NJ).
How you will contribute
- Preparing and reconciling direct and indirect sales tax reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings
- Working regularly with the Regional tax team and 3rd party tax consultants with regular and ad-hoc tax inquiries
- Maintaining the company’s resale certificate system to support customer account set-up with correct tax classification and exempt status
- Being exposed to the Accounts Receivable, Cash Application and Accounts Payable areas and assisting with processing transactions and preparing reconciliations
- Supporting the direct manager during Month End and Year End Closing.
- Assisting with annual audit requests
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with team-members, various departments, and headquarters
Your Experience
- SAP and Tax experience a plus
- Advanced Excel and computer skills (V-lookups, SumIF, Pivot Table Management, External Data Source linking)
- A team player willing to help with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills, eager to learn, dedicated, diligent, highly organized, and reliable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to work flexible hours during month end and year end closes.
- Ability to take responsibility for and engages manager in managing career growth and skills development.
- Curious and fast learner
- Strong and genuine team player, able to keep calm under pressure
- Mature personality, self-motivated
