About the position

We are looking for our next Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect to execute our custom residential/commercial designs with precision. You will contribute to a variety of high-end, one-of-a-kind projects and work directly with our clients, sub-contractors, and our passionate team.. You will play a key, hands-on role in the entire process of design to development, and be part of a quickly growing company. You will bring a strong technical skill set paired with exceptional design capabilities with a desire to deliver projects to a high standard. We are focused on finding the right caliber of candidate to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing projects through all phases of design, which include pre-planning and site research, conceptual design, and construction documentation
• Creating innovative, unique, and functional concept designs in collaboration with clients and our multiple in-house disciplines
• Manage various applications (i.e., building permits, conservation, site plan control, site alterations
• Manage budgets and quotations
• Collaborate directly with consultants, such as surveyors, engineers, arborists, planners, etc
• Main point of contact with clients, trades, and subcontractors.
• Handle contract and construction administration
• Manage several projects while adapting to changing schedules, deadlines, and priorities
• Managing time and deadlines with an awareness of project fees and budgets
• All other duties required

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Landscape construction, project management experience, and knowledge of rendering software is considered a definite asset
• Proficient in drafting and 3d modeling
• Strong design and technical drawing skills
• Ability to collaborate in a team setting to achieve a common goal
• Strong understanding of landscape materials, techniques, systems, and styles
• Knowledge of site planning, regulatory approvals, and submission requirements
• Highly organized and excellent time management skills
• Problem solving abilities, attention to detail, motivation to learn and resourcefulness
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education or Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a professional setting
• BLA/MLA from an accredited program
• OALA membership is preferred (full member or associate)

Salary: $47,182.69-$95,645.96 per year
