This professional gardening position will work in a team atmosphere in which we care for residential gardens through Deb's Gardening at Timberline Landscaping. A gardener weeds, prunes, rakes, deadheads, and has their hands in the soil. Must be willing to work in most weather. There is a lot of work on one’s knees as well as enduring exerting positions such as squatting and bending. Listening and taking direction is critical and then you’ll enjoy the ease that comes with tasks followed out in the garden. This person will always be working with others. You might encounter wildlife, and Deb’s Gardening has protocol on how to respond to those circumstances. Tools will be provided. Reliable transportation to job sites is required. Experience working in the gardening industry is a plus and could offer a higher pay rate once employed and evaluated. A love of nature and the outdoors can facilitate the person with less experience to quickly learn and carry out the tasks of the job.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Gardeners spend most of their working hours outside in all temperatures and weather conditions
• The position requires bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, walking, lifting, squatting, shifting, digging, and hauling
• Gardeners should be comfortable with and have physical and manual dexterity to operate hand tools and should be comfortable working with digging equipment/tools
• Occasional exposure to dust and chemical vapors – PPE is provide
• Ability to move and/or lift over 50 lbs.

• Listening skills are critical
• Must have a vehicle in order to drive to work sites
