Total Computer Solutions, LLC is a family owned business providing Technology Solutions to Residential and Commercial clients since 2002. Our retail office and repair shop is conveniently located in downtown Pleasanton, CA with a Mobile service workforce throughout the Bay Area.

We are seeking a Lead Computer Technicianto join our fast growing business! You will oversee our Pleasanton Office and lead a dynamic team to help resolve computer and tech-related issues for our clients.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Resolving basic issues in person and on the phone including computer desktop/laptop, client/server, remote access, and server issues in a timely manner.
• Diagnosing and completing advanced software and hardware repairs in-shop and on-site
• Identifying and removing Viruses/Spyware/Malware/Rootkits
• Disassembly, cleanout, inspection and reassembly of desktops and laptops
• Managing and updating the office ticketing system, including thorough step-by-step documentation of hardware/software problem-solving processes and all successful and unsuccessful actions taken through to the final resolution.
• Maintain continued communication with clients while managing all assigned service requests to completion within the contracted time frame to ensure full customer satisfaction.
• Researching and providing new software and hardware recommendations and procurement
• Outsourcing complex repairs and additional services to approved vendors and partners
• Calling equipment manufacturers and arranging in-warranty repairs for internal and end users
• Clearly communicating with clients to offer multiple service options based on their needs and budget
• Creating and submitting invoices, collecting and processing payment
• Pickup and drop-off of parts and computers
• Attending local community events as a representative of TCS/PCR
• Mentor Jr Technicians
• Ordering parts for clients and shop inventory
• Manage and order operating supplies
• Ongoing collaboration with team members and Owner to develop process improvements.
• Technician must be comfortable assisting clients on-site at their business or residence
• Candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3+ years experience or qualifying degree
• Above average communication and documentation skills
• Extensive hands on experience in diagnosing and repairing both PC and MAC Laptop and Desktop computer issues
• Experience installing and configuring networks, troubleshooting related issues for wired and wireless networks
• Expert in Windows Operating Systems Win 98 – Win 11
• Expert in Mac functions and iOS systems
• Expert in disassembly/reassembly of laptop and desktop computers
• Ability to troubleshoot Hardware/Software issues to resolution
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Punctual attendance for daily work, meetings and on-site appointments
• Valid Driver’s License required

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Microsoft Certifications
• Cisco / Meraki networking experience
• G Suite Administration

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, crawl, walk, twist and turn.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50+ lbs
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Available on-call for after hours or weekend work
• Applicant must be a US Citizen or hold a current Green Card. No sponsorships are available

SALARY / BENEFITS * Competitive Salary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
