PRESCHOOL TEACHER needed for our NAEYC accredited, inclusive Child Care Center!

Our rooms include children of all abilities and prior experience working with children with special needs is helpful. Help us open more classrooms to better serve the Chattanooga area!

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• At least a CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) and/or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Knowledge of TN licensing standards and The Creative Curriculum is very helpful
• Thorough understanding of cognitive, social/emotional and physical needs of young children
• First Aid/CPR certifications or willingness to obtain
• Ability to relate to children of all backgrounds and abilities and build rapport with their families.
• Familiarity with developmental standards, screenings and assessments.
• Strong computer skills in order to develop computer based lesson plans, reports, and records and enter data into a variety of computer programs.
• At least one year working in a professional environment with children 0-5 years old.
• Ability to pass a criminal background (fingerprint) & registry check
• Previous experience working or volunteering with a special needs population is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift/carry/maneuver children up to 25 lbs without assistance and ability to get up and down from the floor to engage with children regularly.
• Must complete a standard post-offer/ pre-employment Health form for child care employees with a TB Test as required by state law.

This is a full-time position with hours scheduled between 7:30-5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
