PRESCHOOL TEACHER needed for our NAEYC accredited, inclusive Child Care Center!

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- At least a CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate) and/or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
- Knowledge of TN licensing standards and The Creative Curriculum is very helpful
- Thorough understanding of cognitive, social/emotional and physical needs of young children
- First Aid/CPR certifications or willingness to obtain
- Ability to relate to children of all backgrounds and abilities and build rapport with their families.
- Familiarity with developmental standards, screenings and assessments.
- Strong computer skills in order to develop computer based lesson plans, reports, and records and enter data into a variety of computer programs.
- At least one year working in a professional environment with children 0-5 years old.
- Ability to pass a criminal background (fingerprint) & registry check
- Previous experience working or volunteering with a special needs population is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift/carry/maneuver children up to 25 lbs without assistance and ability to get up and down from the floor to engage with children regularly.
- Must complete a standard post-offer/ pre-employment Health form for child care employees with a TB Test as required by state law.
This is a full-time position with hours scheduled between 7:30-5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
