Lean Manufacturing Engineer
Position Summary:
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will support the division’s Continuous Improvement Manager in the achievement of the division’s financial and operational objectives.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lean / Continuous Improvement.
- Work with leadership to identify key projects that will provide the most benefit to company.
- Lead continuous improvement projects from concept to completion.
- Report progress of projects to Continuous Improvement Manager and ensure progress towards goal of cost savings is achieved.
- Support innovation and cost reduction programs in place.
- Provide training for plant personnel on lean concepts as needed.
- Assist team members in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change.
- Lead Kaizen teams in multiple day, rapid improvement events monthly.
- Development and implementation of the required.
- Create and manage lists with project descriptions, issues, and potential solutions with timelines.
- Work on product flow, helping to increase productivity.
- Work on improving production processes in each department.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of work and education.
- Minimum of 3 years of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience with record of results.
- Extensive experience with lean manufacturing concepts (Standardized work, A3, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, VSM, SMED, Kanban, etc.).
- Possess project management skills.
- Certification in Six Sigma and/or Red X is preferred.
- Ability to train others in how to effectively use problem solving tools.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all employee levels in a positive, cooperative, and productive manner.
- Strong team leadership skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings.
- Strong sense of time management with ability to manage high workload and meet deadlines.
- Independent, targeted and structured way of working.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Experience with AutoCAD
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:
