DUTIES
A casual Learning Technologies Facilitator (LTF) is needed at UCN Norway House Education and Training Centre to provide assistance to
faculty and students in distance and technology-mediated classes. This position requires you to work 2 evenings a week for 3.5 hours per
shift. It may be required to cover daytime classes when the permanent LTF is away. This will be a seasonal position from the last 2 weeks in
August to the last week of April. Estimated hours required to work is approximately 200 - 250 hours per academic year.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 High School Diploma

  • Completion of some post-secondary courses
  • Demonstrated experience in distance learning technologies (e.g. Web-Conferences, Learning Management System (LMS), Can8,
etc.)
  • Combination of education, skills, and experience may be considered
  • Proficient computer application skills (e.g. MS Office, email, internet searches, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills (both oral & written)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated self-management skills
  • Commitment to life-long learning

ASSETS
• Experience and/or knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures

  • Ability to speak Cree
  • Previous experience working with adult learners

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • The candidate must be available to work daytime, evenings and/or weekends as required.
