Duration: 8 + Month’s Contract with high possibility of Extension

D-Shift Hours (1)
Saturday 5:00pm - 3:00am
Sunday 5:00pm - 3:00am
Monday 5:00pm - 3:00am
Tuesday 6:00pm - 4:00am

Overview
This team is responsible for mailing out credit cards to customers. Attach card to mailers, insert into envelopes along with other marketing collateral, then sent out via mail, or they go to the express area where they are shipped via FedEx or UPS.
This is a 24*7 operation and they're only closed on a couple of holidays a year, including Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years day.
Manual/Machine Operator positions are very similar and there's a lot of cross-training.
Employees (and contractors) get 2, 20-minute breaks a day. These are paid breaks they get insteadof taking a full unpaid lunch hour.
They work as a team, not as individuals.
Express mail. One room who does bulk ship UPS. There are tubs of UPS packages to process. Check addresses with the manifest, make sure labels are accurate and then ship.
Production floor has different areas. Perso (personalized) area, move from one group to another.
They follow a batch process. Finish bulk of work and pass it along to next area. Can cross train if they want.
How long are the contracts? 4-6 months and then if they're doing a good job they'll typically be hired as an FTE.
Once hired, they stay at 15/hr., but they get health insurance, vision, 401k, stock options, get 12 vacation days (96 hours) to start. Holiday pay. Do not work Christmas, Thanksgiving or New Years. FTE's get time and a half if they work on a holiday, or they can use those hours in lieu of working another day.

Responsibilities
Sets up and operates a variety of automated machines (e.g. several different folders, Muller, die cutter or cutter) used in the production of the company's product. Responsible for the overall operation of machinery including actions such as feeding, folding ,cutting, stitching of materials, adjusting settings, making minor repairs and pulling, inspecting and packaging finished product.
Begins to learn the functionality of various Finishing machines (e.g. folder, Muller, die cutter, guillotine cutter, saddle stitcher, etc.) and processes by locating the correct job materials/tickets on the finishing floor and reviewing job specification sheet(s) to complete finishing work for assigned jobs, as directed.
Reviews production samples with leadership and/or senior level operator during production to ensure adherence to client specifications and quality checklists.
Packages finished product in cartons, boxes, or pallets, as directed and reviews completed packaging with more experienced operators to ensure adherence to ticket instructions, prior to routing for shipment.
Learns to document/enter job information such as material usage/scrap and production time required for cost tracking/client billing.

Needed for the job:
RELIABLE, Attention to detail, hand-insertion of cards and marketing collateral needs to be accurate, but also need to meet deadlines and work fast.
Looking for people who want to progress - get better and faster.
Employees are on their feet all day, so need to be healthy enough to walk around quickly and work. There are some boxes to lift, but they help each other out when needed.
There is a mixture of young and older employees, male and female. There are some recent HS grads who do great, but they also have older employees with 20 years of machine experience.
Employees need to be open to learning, growing and working in a diverse team environment.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $10.21 - $15.00 per hour
