Overview:
The Life Insurance Sales Manager leads the Life Internal Sales Team, partners with senior management, Insurance Marketing, and AAA Life to develop and implement the business strategy focused on Agency growth and profitability. Additionally, the Manager builds relationships with Insurance team, carrier partners, and industry associations.

The Life Insurance Sales Manager leads the Life Internal Sales Team, partners with senior management, Insurance Marketing, and AAA Life to develop and implement the business strategy focused on Agency growth and profitability. Additionally, the Manager builds relationships with Insurance team, carrier partners, and industry associations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to staff, ensuring accurate staffing and training levels of all team members
- Develop multi-year plans/budgets and handles the integration of all aspects of the function across all required business lines and geographies supported
- Assist multi-line agents in soliciting and closing simple term and whole life opportunities while driving referrals of more complex cases to a Life Specialists
- Collaborate with the leadership team in the planning, development and implementation of consumer sales and marketing strategies, promotional campaigns and team incentives
- Maintain partnerships with life insurance company representatives and underwriters
- Maintain accurate records and facilitates reporting via the agency management system, including the leadership of the Life & Annuity Specialists accurately complete customer files in Applied Epic
- Develop referral and networking sources that provide business opportunities in the personal, family, and small business life insurance and retirement planning markets as well as value added referrals to other AAA team members
- Build and maintain an understanding of concepts and products available to meet client needs and capitalize on available opportunities. Support club success by recommending AAA membership, travel, and other financial service products to existing and prospective clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience
- Active Life license
- 7+ years Insurance Sales experience and management of sales call center environment
- 5+ years’ experience in the management of a sales force with a proven track record in recruiting, staffing, and leadership to a defined sales objective and developing sales skills
- Familiarity with Agency Management Systems and proficient with Microsoft Office
The pay range for this position in Rhode Island is $95,000.00 - $110,250.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
