Manager - Process Engineer - Plastics Manufacturer

Summary
The Manager – Process Engineering provides leadership and project management, in the areas of process development and control supporting the safe, productive operation of multiple US production facilities. The incumbent will lead a team of process engineers, partnering operational leaders to safely meet sales and production goals, at targeted cost levels, while meeting customer expectations for quality and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and promote safe work practices
- Manage process and product development initiatives to successfully transfer stable, repeatable processes into production
- Lead process engineering team
- Develop and implement manufacturing system standards
- Stabilize and control existing processes
- Partner with equipment engineering team to select and install new equipment
- Encourage innovation to enhance safety, efficiency and effectiveness
Specialized Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated success driving measurable process improvements (moved the needle)
- Demonstrated experience in a Lean environment, with successful Lean project implementation
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership as a business partner
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including to multiple Ensinger US and global locations
Education and Experience
- 4-year Engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering
- 10 years increasingly responsible, successful applicable experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong competencies in manufacturing principles; Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen certifications a plus
- Strong background in engineering testing methods and requirements
- Working knowledge and experience of manufacturing operations, with a focus on the successful implementation of world-class manufacturing practices
