Job description
Responsibilities:
- Place purchase orders to meet production requirements
- Run open order reports to drive materials into the factory
- Follow Material Requirements Planning (MRP) message to push or pull delivery dates
- Interface with Supplier Quality, Production Planning, and engineering
- Publish forecasts to help suppliers with long-term requirements
- Independently solve supply chain management issues
- Setup advanced logistics process for purchased parts
- Work in cross-functional teams to release Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) to suppliers
- Work with AP to resolve supplier invoice issues
Required skills or experience:
- Obtain a 4 yr Bachelor's Degree
- Demonstrate knowledge of advanced materials management processes
- Demonstrate excellent PC skills (MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Demonstrate knowledge of SAP Material Management module (MM) within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
Preferred skills or experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of buying experience
- Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus
- APICS/Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Certification is a plus
- Masters degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus
Salary info:
$30 - $40 / hr
