Position Summary:
The Material Handler will provide a constant flow of raw material to injection presses in the Production area and any auxiliary equipment to achieve maximum productivity.
Key Tasks:
- Mix resin as directed.
- Place grinder at each press.
- Have material and auxiliary equipment properly tagged for use.
- Pull and clean hoppers and grinders at job's completion.
- Monitor dryers as needed.
- Must be able to set-up and troubleshoot all material auxiliary equipment.
- Must understand 5-S and Lean Manufacturing concept.
- Keep work areas clean and safe.
- Use 5-S suggestion form for set-up, process, or other improvements.
Minimum Requirements, Skills, and Experience:
- Must have knowledge of plastic product material handling.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Attention to Detail
- Must have great interpersonal skills.
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must have an aptitude for basic math.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to take direction from Supervisors/Manager
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for eight hours.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous Product Material Handling Experience preferred.
