Mechanical Engineer in Roseville CA

ACE Quality Control (a locally owned company) is a Engineering, Special Inspection and Materials Testing firm. We have offices located in Roseville, Redding, Yreka, and San Leandro. ACE provides geotechnical and environmental engineering services, and construction quality control services for Federal, State, Local Agencies, commercial and residential markets.

ACE Quality Control (Roseville) has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer. ACE is seeking an individual looking to work at an engineering company and help create a department that rivals our competitors. This position will be performing laboratory testing, improve systems and procedures, help create quality standards and contribute toward building a team for the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: B.S. Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Mechanical experience, working with equipment, systems, processes, workflow and quality control principles.

DUTIES:

Establish a comprehensive understanding of standards including Caltrans, AMRL, CCRL, ASTM's, and Division of State Architect expectations. This will be accomplished on the job and will require a commitment to learn and study these requirements.

Typical duties include hands-on activities, performing materials testing, developing priorities and attending weekly meetings.

This position will pursue certifications, with the support of the company, to develop the technical knowledge and working experience needed in a material testing environment.

Additional duties include managing quality standards including equipment inventory, calibrations, maintenance procedures, training records, and laboratory certifications.

Perform routine concrete breaks, soils testing, asphalt testing in a laboratory environment, logging in and processing materials, perform lab testing to ASTM/AASHTO/Caltrans Standards, processing final test results.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
