MECHANICAL ENGINEER II Engineering Design Center Omaha, NE
Zachry Group is seeking Mechanical Engineer II responsible in the design office for routine engineering and design tasks of the process area of assigned projects based on specific and detailed instructions received from the assigned supervisor as to the required tasks and results expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing a complete project, system, component, and/or process with reduced oversight
- Responsible for developing process flow diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Responsible for interpretation of blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles
- Responsible for engineering and design tasks of the Mechanical/Process engineering discipline of assigned projects
Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Evaluate processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, and to incorporate in technical specifications to be issued for procuring equipment and instruments.
- Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
- Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in related field
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

- Computer aided design (CAD Software)
- Strong desire to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field
- Proficiency with Gate Cycle Software
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Industrial Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,846.05 - $148,629.21 per year
Schedule:

- No weekends
