We are looking for a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our team and provide quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients, preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and performing administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
● Primary duties are clinical/back end in nature, where you will obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and document details of interactions with patients
● Assessing and updating medical history of patients
● Keep record of patients
● Analyzing info regarding the conditions of skin health
● Inform patients about proper and available treatments and pricing
● Conducting non-intrusive medical procedures
● Educating patients above preventative skin care
● This is a full time, permanent position which occasionally requires some before/after hours flexibility
● The Medical Assistant needs to be able to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to opening in the morning and stay until the last patient/clinician has departed the practice
● Prepares treatment rooms and equipment prior to the start of each day and closes rooms down at the end of the day – making sure all equipment is turned off, garbage is emptied, and rooms are prepped for the next business day
● Counsels patients by reviewing pre and post treatment care instructions
● Preps for providers each morning including reviewing patient history and preparing a “playbook” for the day
● Escorts patients to treatment rooms, provides a warm welcome and makes them comfortable
● Verifies patient information by reviewing medical history and confirming purpose of visit
● Assists with patient clearances and obtains consents for treatments
● Prepares patients for treatments including drawing blood and applying topical numbing
● Educates patients about products and services
● Maintains all treatment rooms by ensuring linens are clean, trash is emptied, and rooms are always impeccably clean, per Company protocols and standards
● Monitors and maintains public areas including bathrooms, IV room, breakroom and hallways throughout the day, stocking supplies and cleaning as needed
● Does laundry throughout the day per Company protocols and standards
● Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
● Monitors supply levels and alerts management when supplies are running low/should be ordered
● Assists with manual inventory counts as needed
● Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications
● Secure patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records and keeping patient information confidential
● Occasionally assist with various aesthetic treatments
● Maintain professionalism with all patients, vendors, and colleagues as well as comply with all relevant HIPAA laws

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
